Terri from the Light of Christ congregation shared a Rethink Church moment with me. She recently took up running. Terri posted on Facebook her plans to participate in an upcoming race. Taking into consideration the Rethink Church ideas that “church”’ is a verb and that she is a missionary for God in everyday life, included in her post was an invitation to pray for her friends specifically as she ran in the race. Terri, after all, had a lot of time to be prayerful. Why not bring God and her friends together in the process? What a creative and courageous idea! Thanks, Terri, for your example of how we can be the church in our daily lives in our spheres of influence.
